Our First Forgiveness

John 3:3: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Our first forgiveness of sin obviously does not happen before we become born again. We become born again (children of God) when we receive Jesus.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Our first forgiveness of sin obviously does not happen before we receive Jesus and become children of God.

Titus 3:5: Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Our first forgiveness of sin obviously does not happen before we have been saved, regenerated, washed and renewed by the Holy Spirit, which occur when we receive Jesus.

John 6:37: All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Our first forgiveness of sin obviously does not happen before the Father gives us to Jesus and we come to Him.

Matthew 13:15: For this people*s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Acts 3:19: Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Our first forgiveness of sin obviously does not happen before we have repented of it and have been converted.
